About Pilates In BodyMind

At BodyMind Pilates studio you will receive professional instruction, personal attention and customized fitness programs that will allow you not only to improve your looks or sports performance, but also your long-term health. The style that this Grand Rapids stuido follows is a contemporary, progressive approach that builds on the essence and principles of the Joseph Pilates technique. It incorporates the most recent knowledge about the body and how it works.

Who Is It For?

Pilates is perfect for anyone who knows that the "no pain no gain" philosophy is part of the past. Since we GRADUALLY develop the client's strength and flexibility and create programs specific to people's needs, it is perfect for the complete beginner to the most advanced student.

What Should You Expect From Your Initial Pilates Experience?

The first few sessions are normally to learn the fundamentals like correct alignment, use of breath, moving with flow, and in general getting to know or reconnect your "BODYMIND." What you will not feel is a "burn" that some students are accustomed to experiencing in traditional workouts. After a few sessions most students report that they feel more as they progress and are able to perform more advanced exercises.
